Parents, as you know the summers here in Bakersfield are very hot, the air quality can also be unhealthy. When the quality of the air is bad, the President and/or the head coach may call a no practice day. Please make sure that your phone number information is correct.
On practice days, your athlete should drink plenty of water, and that they eat a light, healthy snack. Fruit,
power bars, and Gatorade will help the body adapt to the heat. Keep the sodas out of reach.
Please no dairy products before practice, with the heat, your child may become ill.
If your child has asthma, please do not forget to bring their inhaler.
Bring WATER TO PRACTICE as well as TRACK EVENTS! Wear comfortable clothing during practice. Do not bring spikes to practice…running shoes only.
During a track meet only 1/4" spikes are allowed!
Please bring water, Gatorade, oranges, or whatever type of fruit your child likes to eat.
Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact one of our coaches.
